Hello my loves, I hope your 2018 is off to a rocking start!
I can’t believe it is already February. This year I did something a little different, I did not make one resolution. That’s right, instead, I made commitments to myself. Although the words are very similar, the latter is an act, it is living, it is doing, and that is exactly what I want to be doing. You see, I have big… GIGANTIC plans for this year, but before I can conquer the world, I have to make sure I am firing on all cylinders. To that end, I made the commitment to take care of myself first and foremost.
Self-care and love look different on any giving day, but I have been indulging in my passion for yoga and taking care of my body. After all, grinding and thinking of a master plan is hard work and it feels wonderful to get on my mat and release any stress and tension I may feel. Luckily, for me, there are some great options available on YouTube, but there is nothing like having an instructor right there with you…
Since the universe is always conspiring in our favour, I was introduced to Sabrina. An amazing yoga instructor and we had our first session today. When Sabrina arrived, she asked me a few preliminary questions and then we hit the mat! She knew exactly what I needed. For 60 minutes Sabrina assisted, corrected, and challenged me to get deeper into the positions. When it was over, I was drenched in sweat, exhausted and I felt amazing. The combination of a great workout and her calming spirit were a great way to start my day. I was deeply grateful to have been able to practice with her this morning.
Maybe yoga is not your thing and that is ok, but you need to find something that sets your soul on fire and that you do just for you. I know we are all busy with this or that and taking care of everyone else. But ask yourself; who is taking care of you? You owe it to yourself to find the time for you. After all, YOU are all YOU have!
